We are proud to announce that two of our professionals have achieved certification with national professional associations. We firmly believe in continued education and the professional development of our staff and congratulate these individuals for their continued achievements within the industry and our firm.
Scott Haines, Project Engineer, has become a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC). He passed a national test held in Columbus in November and is among less than 5000 professionals nationwide that have achieved this certification. A CPESC is a recognized specialist in soil erosion and sediment control. CPESCs have educational training, demonstrated expertise, experience in controlling erosion and sedimentation, and meet certification standards. Courtney Van Ostran, Marketing Coordinator, earned the designation of Certified Professional Services Marketer in November, 2007. She is among a growing number of professionals to be certified by the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), which advocates for, educates, and connects leaders in the design and building industry.
Certified Professional Services Marketers (CPSMs) are recognized as having the experience and knowledge to generate profitable business in the architectural, engineering, and construction marketplace. To achieve this designation, certification candidates must meet educational and experience requirements, pass a rigorous written examination, and pledge to abide by the CPSM Code of Ethics. The process validates the individual’s mastery of and ability to apply critical business development knowledge in an industry that values certification.
